Commissioned by the Fraunhofer Society (Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft), this project was created to present the awardees of the Fraunhofer Research Prize 2025 through a series of cinematic portrait films. The production introduces outstanding researchers and their work, translating complex scientific projects into concise, accessible, and engaging visual narratives.

A total of four awardee films were produced, each filmed at different Fraunhofer Institutes across Germany. Film and photography were captured simultaneously, allowing the production to efficiently document both the people behind the research and their working environments while maintaining a consistent visual language across all outputs.

The films were developed for use at the Fraunhofer Annual Conference 2025, accompanied by shorter edits tailored for social media channels. In addition to the German versions, the films were also produced in English, ensuring international accessibility and reach.

The project was directed by Sabrina Gaber, with cinematography by Max Mayer. The concept was developed collaboratively by Sabrina Gaber, Max Mayer, and HADIFILM, which also handled production. Together, the series highlights scientific excellence while making cutting-edge research tangible and understandable for a broad audience.
