35 kilometers northeast of Rügen, in the middle of the Arkona offshore wind farm with its 60 wind turbines, everyday work means facing extreme challenges. On the offshore substation platform, all crew members are trained as First Responders Offshore. In medical emergencies, they rely on telemedicine support from corpuls, and when evacuation is required, the Northern Helicopter HEMS crew together with the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe and Klinikum Oldenburg step in.

This unique project, hosted by RWE, combined the highest safety standards with state-of-the-art medical technology. Preparation included GWO safety trainings at Heinemann Solutions – from Sea Survival to Working at Heights.

I had the privilege to take on concept, directing and still photography for this film. The result: an authentic insight into offshore rescue operations, telemedical workflows, and the fascinating yet demanding workplace at sea – where teamwork, precision and resilience are essential.
