Surrounded by the iconic Matterhorn and more than twenty additional four-thousand-meter peaks, Air Zermatt operates in one of the most demanding rescue environments in the world. From the heart of the Swiss Alps, the pioneers of alpine air rescue take off daily — often under extreme weather conditions — to carry out complex missions high above the Matter Valley.

For corpuls on mission – Air Zermatt, corpuls was granted exclusive access to accompany the rescue teams during their operations. The film documents the precision, responsibility, and quiet determination required to save lives in terrain where every decision counts. Red helicopters connect the remote alpine landscape with the outside world, rescuing injured tourists and locals, supplying mountain huts, and supporting missions at altitudes exceeding 4,000 meters.

Rather than focusing on spectacle, the project places people at its center. It captures the routines, the readiness, and the human moments behind high-risk rescue operations — revealing a profession where saving lives is part of everyday reality.

The film is part of the corpuls on mission series, which shares real rescue stories from around the globe. Previous missions have taken place in locations such as Costa Rica, on the open sea, and on offshore drilling platforms. This chapter leads the audience to Switzerland — and above Zermatt — offering an authentic insight into the work of one of the world’s most respected air rescue organizations.

Developed as a multi-format and multilingual production, the project was created for use across corpuls’ communication channels, including editorial content, online platforms, and social media — bringing viewers closer to the people and technology that work together when every second matters.
